Flame Towers & Modern Baku

No baku trip package feels complete without a stop at the Flame Towers, the trio of skyscrapers shaped like flames that dominate the city’s skyline. They’re striking during the day but honestly next-level once they light up at night with a rotating fire-like display.

Icherisheher – The Old City

Icherisheher, Baku’s Old City, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site packed with centuries of history. The Maiden Tower and Shirvanshah Palace sit right in the middle of it, surrounded by narrow lanes, small cafes and carpet shops.

Gobustan National Park & Yanar Dag

Gobustan is famous for its ancient rock engravings and its bubbling mud volcanoes, a genuinely odd but fascinating sight. Not far from there is Yanar Dag, a hillside that’s been burning continuously for decades due to a natural gas seep, it’s one of those things that’s hard to explain in words, you just have to see it.
